Educamerún: Transforming Lives Through Education
At Eguren Ugarte, we believe in the power of education to change the future. That’s why, as part of our initiative 12 months, 12 causes, 12 wines, this month we support the Educamerún project, an initiative by the Adviser Humana Foundation that funds school scholarships for children in extreme poverty in Cameroon.
Since its creation in 2014, Educamerún has provided opportunities to hundreds of young people, allowing them to access quality education. A key milestone in its history occurred in 2022, when the scholarship recipients themselves began managing the project, demonstrating their commitment to the future of new generations.
The achievements of the 2023-2024 school year have been inspiring: new graduates in teaching, nursing, engineering, and law have reached their professional goals thanks to the support of this program. Additionally, the summer camp in Cameroon has provided over 200 children with training in languages, computer skills, and drug prevention, as well as support with school supplies.
